“Model in green is Dolores Hawkins, in blue is Anne St. Marie and purple is Bani Yevelston.
Bani Yevelston was the first black model to participate in an American fashion show (1957). Her appearance in Minneapolis made a big splash and was the subject of a number of press articles.
